Oh, we love this at The Snail of Happiness! A 100% recycled DK British yarn, 80% Recycled British Wool, 20% Recycled Nylon, all produced by West Yorkshire Spinners at their mill. Here's what they have to say:

"We start by collecting all this valuable and perfectly good fibre which is gathered after each clean down of our spinning frames.  Next, we send it to our local production partner to card, comb and convert back into tops before it arrives back at our mill for spinning. This spun yarn then heads out again to be dyed locally, and once dyed, it’s back to us for finishing, balling and packing. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and all of this takes place within a 10-mile radius – something which we’re extremely proud of. "
