Those of you who have been with The Snail of Happiness for a while will probably remember the production, last year, of our Crochet Coral Reef... some of you even sent us contributions. So much work went into it, that we decided it deserved another outing, and we've added to it. All our coral, seaweed and inhabitants were made from scrap yarn (of which we have a great deal) and the new additions are also scrappy.
This year we have two new bollard covers - each featuring a scrappy octopus made by Jon. They have been getting a lot of attention from passers-by, including hugs from small children.
We think this is probably going to be an annual event and that we'll add more and more of our scraphappy creations as time goes on. Our eventual aim is to fill the whole window, so if you are ever in the mood to create a sea creature or coral for us, we'd be delighted to give it a home. We even have a pattern to crochet or knit your own hyperbolic coral, which you can download free of charge from our online shop here.
