Mini Weaving Loom

An essential gadget for mending – a mini loom to make neat patches/darns on all sorts of textiles.

These little looms, sometimes called by their 1950s  brand name ‘Speedweves’, can be used to create a simple darn or a decorative pattern. Simply attach the wooden disc behind the hole you need to repair using an elastic band, then secure the loom on top with a second elastic band before stitching your warp threads in place, then weaving through these. A clever mechanism lifts alternate threads to allow you to weave quickly and evenly.
